My Story
For just over one year ive been on a weightloss journey - having lost just over 30kg in that time. Now that ive reached my goal weight, i thought it would be a great idea to challenege myself and attempt a half marathon while raising money for Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland!
I have lots of family members impacted by conditons that the people at Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland try to help with so i thought it would be a good idea to raise money to help support people that have gone through similar situations themselves.
My gran has COPD, my uncle and some family friends have had heart attacks, my girlfriend is Asthmatic and just in the last few years my Dad had a TIA, or mini-stroke as it is sometimes known, despite being a fit, healthy and active person. We all most likely know someone who has a condition that Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland can assist with so any amount you are able to donate is hugely appreciated!
The AJ Bell Great Scottish Run is the biggest and best running event in Scotland. Starting in the heart of the city, runners soak up the incredible atmosphere and music all the way to the finish in Glasgow Green.
With rocking entertainment zones every kilometre and some of the best (and loudest!) crowd support anywhere in the world, It’s an event day experience like no other.
It’s not all about the adults, the Junior & Mini events give the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
